Stem Cell - Future in medical science

Blog post #5
5/1000

Hi everyone for this 5th post I have chosen to write about stem cells. The stem cells are medical future!
I have gathered some texts from wikipedia about stem cells. I know that many of you will not understand much because you are not into the medicine so much. I will explain later the texts.
I will not try to explain much about the stem cells, but I will focus on what can they be used for in medicine.
But however here is a small info about cells them self:

" Stem cells are biological cells found in all multicellular organisms, that can divide (through mitosis) and differentiate into diverse specialized cell types and can self-renew to produce more stem cells. In mammals, there are two broad types of stem cells: embryonic stem cells, which are isolated from the inner cell mass of blastocysts, and adult stem cells, which are found in various tissues. In adult organisms, stem cells and progenitor cells act as a repair system for the body, replenishing adult tissues. In a developing embryo, stem cells can differentiate into all the specialized cells[ectoderm, endoderm and mesoderm-see induced pluripotent stem cells] (these are called pluripotent cells), but also maintain the normal turnover of regenerative organs, such as blood, skin, or intestinal tissues.
There are three accessible sources of autologous adult stem cells in humans:
Bone marrow, which requires extraction by harvesting, that is, drilling into bone (typically the femur or iliac crest),
Adipose tissue (lipid cells), which requires extraction by liposuction, and
Blood, which requires extraction through pheresis, wherein blood is drawn from the donor (similar to a blood donation), passed through a machine that extracts the stem cells and returns other portions of the blood to the donor.
Stem cells can also be taken from umbilical cord blood just after birth. Of all stem cell types, autologous harvesting involves the least risk. By definition, autologous cells are obtained from one's own body, just as one may bank his or her own blood for elective surgical procedures.
Highly plastic adult stem cells are routinely used in medical therapies, for example in bone marrow transplantation. Stem cells can now be artificially grown and transformed (differentiated) into specialized cell types with characteristics consistent with cells of various tissues such as muscles or nerves through cell culture. Embryonic cell lines and autologous embryonic stem cells generated through therapeutic cloning have also been proposed as promising candidates for future therapies. Research into stem cells grew out of findings by Ernest A. McCulloch and James E. Till at the University of Toronto in the 1960s. "

This was gathered from Wikipedia if you want to read more about stem cells follow wikipedia link below.
Stem cells on wikipedia (On science language)

Now what text above says is that these cells can divide and self-renew and can become sub for any other cell type one would need.

Now what I am trying to do is to spread the word about this way of curing many health problems.
Medical researchers believe that stem cell therapy has the potential to dramatically change the treatment of human disease. A number of adult stem cell therapies already exist, particularly bone marrow transplants that are used to treat leukemia. In the future, medical researchers anticipate being able to use technologies derived from stem cell research to treat a wider variety of diseases including cancer, Parkinson's disease, spinal cord injuries, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, multiple sclerosis, and muscle damage, amongst a number of other impairments and conditions However, there still exists a great deal of social and scientific uncertainty surrounding stem cell research, which could possibly be overcome through public debate and future research, and further education of the public.
One concern of treatment is the risk that transplanted stem cells could form tumors and become cancerous if cell division continues uncontrollably.
Stem cells are widely studied, for their potential therapeutic use and for their inherent interest.
Supporters of embryonic stem cell research argue that such research should be pursued because the resultant treatments could have significant medical potential. It has been proposed that surplus embryos created for in vitro fertilization could be donated with consent and used for the research.
The recent development of iPS cells has been called a bypass of the legal controversy. Laws limiting the destruction of human embryos have been credited for being the reason for development of iPS cells, but it is still not completely clear whether hiPS cells are equivalent to hES cells. Recent work demonstrates hotspots of aberrant epigenomic reprogramming in hiPS cells.

Stem cells already have usage in curing spinal cord injury and healing problems of people who cant walk anymore. There are stem cells treatments which help people to get up from wheel chairs!
But unfortunately such treatments are still very expensive! Lets us hope that the price of such treatments will reduce so that it is available to wider population!
I hope I learnt you something new today! This was kind of a science post but I wanted to spread the word about this thing because it is good for everyone to know about it!

How to protect your self from summer heat

Blog post #4
4/1000

Hi this is 4th post on this blog and my goal is 1000 post or more.
So from now I will mark it like I have done above "current post number/1000"

We all love summer!
But sometimes we cant take the heat! In some countries temperature reaches up to 50C° that is almost twice the heat of the average human body!
In order to get cooled down I figured out a few ideas!

1. First of all drink a lot of cold water but not too cold because that is not good for the stomach.
Always have a bottle of water with you wherever you go.
It is wise to make your hair wet with cold water and to make your back and chest wet too if the heat reaches up to 40C°

2. Always wear a white hat! Never play smart and wear black hat because that can cause brain impact!
White color does not absorb much heat and protects the head and brain from heat so you will not get headache if you are out on the sun for long time.

3. This wont really protect you from heat but will from the sun.. It is good to wear sun glasses because it is not good for the eyes to be exposed to huge amount of light. Specialy if you were in the house whole day before you went outside.

4. If you are on the beach, doing sunbathing you should enter in water every 15-20minutes. That way you will cool down your body and the blood in it. If not you may have a chance to start feeling dizzy.
5. If you dont have air condition in your house than you can cool it down like this.
Open all windows and doors if you can. But put curtains over the windows so that only air goes in the room and sun light not.

6. I would suggest you to take a shower at least 3 times a day.

These were some of my ideas. I hope I helped to you.
Please share the post if you found it useful!
And remember keep your hair wet during whole day.

How to save up some money in 30 days

This is 3rd post on this blog! I will now write you some money saving secrets! But you know some of them for shure, but give it a read and you may find this post useful.

First of all set yourself a goal!
Lets say you want to save up a 100$
Now do the numbers! Calculate how much do you spend in 30 days.
Now deducate from that number 100$ and the number you get is how much you can spend during the next 30 days.

This doesnt work if you have small amount of money for 30 days like only 200$ or less than you cant just deducate from that 100$
In this case you have to save up money for 60 days. And deducate 50$ per 30 days.

Now you got your paycheck for 30 days. Lets say it is 350$ so you can spend only 250$
Here are some ways to do that!

1. This is the most important one!
You need to cut your budget for food because this is where you spend the most. Now listen to this.
You need to stop buying expencive stuff. You need to go and visit big shopping cener and buy food at discount. And there also choose cheaper food. Buy everything that can be stored in a fridge!

2. Bills!
You need to cut down budget for bills too as much as possible!
Try to save money on phone bill, power bill and etc.
Turn off lights at all times when possible! Use power only at evening when it is cheaper to boil water for shower. Dont call peple so much from your phone to reduce phone bill.

3. If you have some friend in village who does farming you can ask him to sell you vegetables for far cheaper price than in shops.

4. Dont go in restaurants, play stores, pools... etc. Instead take your family to forest picnic it is much cheaper.

These are some of my ideas but there are a lot of ideas on this subject. Remmember stick to the goal and you will manage it.
It doesnt have to be 100$ it can be 1000$ but for such amount you will have to save for longer time if done effectively you can save 1000$ in 90 days!

Fast and furious 7 - information

One of the best movies once it comes to racing/action mixture!
Fast and furious!
By now universal pictures has presented us 6 parts.
But on the end of the 6th part there was something NEW!!
As you already know if you have watched Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift that Han gets killed in a car accidant while he was trying to run away from the yakuza.
Well on the end of the 6th part of fast and furious we find out that that was no accidant.
Jason Statham showes up and he runs the car with full speed in Hans vehicle from the side. Jason used some old mercedes so it looked like it was ordinary car accidant.
Than Jason takes the phone out and calls Dominic Torreto to tell him that he is going to kill all of his people one by one!

So we can expect that fast and furious 7 is going to be a wild one!
I think it is going to be published at the end of 2013 or on begining of 2014 but that is just wild guess.
The greatest thing is introducing a new good acter in this movie Jason Statham.

My teory:
Main Bad guy in the 6th part at one point mentions that he has a brother. After Dominic Torreto killed the bad guy his brother (Jason Statham) came to make vengeance. But this is just my teory but I think I am right!

This is all I can say abouth 7th part. We can all expect a lot of shooting and driving, drifting and stunt riding! :)

This is first post on this blog!

Hi everyone! This is the first post on this blog ever!
I expect that not many of you will read it but just so you know this is how it all started!
